About Marquee

Marquee Dance Center was created to offer a boutique, uplifting dance experience where every student feels supported and inspired. Our studio focuses on age-appropriate training, intimate class sizes, and joyful instruction that nurtures both strong technique and a genuine love of performing.

Founded by Jackie Covas, a third-generation tap dancer, performer, and teacher, Marquee Dance Center blends a wealth of professional knowledge and a lifelong passion for developing young artists. With over 25 years of experience as a performer, choreographer, and educator, Jacqueline has dedicated her life to sharing the joy and artistry of dance.

For the past decade, Jackie has owned and directed The Honey Taps, a nationwide entertainment company. Under her direction, The Honey Taps have appeared at Carnegie Hall, The Rainbow Room, and thousands of high-profile events. As a performer, Jackie’s credits include national tours with Broadway Across America, Disney, and Nickelodeon, as well as appearances at some of the world’s most iconic venues including Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and numerous renowned theaters across the country.

Today, Jackie is excited to bring her industry experience, professional insight, and passion for dance and performance to the next generation of dancers. She can’t wait to share her knowledge, nurture creativity, and inspire every student who steps through the doors of Marquee Dance Center.
