Frequently Asked Questions about Preschool Dance Classes in the South Bay
What age can kids start dance classes?
Our preschool dance classes are best for kids ages 3 to 5 years old who are comfortable in a small group and ready to explore movement.
Is previous experience needed?
None! These classes are build for beginners, just bring curiosity and smiles.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothes they can move freely in and shoes they feel secure in. Ballet, Tap, Jazz, etc…
Do parents stay in the room during class?
This depends on the class type at Marquee. Grown up & Me classes do require an adult in the room with your student, and the class is designed to gradually transition to independent participation. Other classes like Intro Ballet or Ballet/Tap Combo are students only. Adults may watch through the viewing windows.
What if my child is shy or slow to warm up?
That is completely normal at this age. We never force participation. Many children start by observing and gradually join in once they feel safe and comfortable.
We offer a free trial class so that you can experience the class vibe and how your little dancer responds before enrolling.
